정보그림책의 본문텍스트와 면지의 관계성

The Relationship of Text and Endpaper in Informational Picturebooks

유아들은 그림책을 접하는 과정에서 본문의 텍스트만을 보는 것이 아니라 표제지, 면지, 속표제지, 뒷표제지 등 텍스트외적인 요소들을 함께 보게 된다. 이러한 요소들은 유아들이 그림책의 이야기를 감상하는 과정 뿐 아니라 정보그림책의 정보에의 접근 가능성에도 영향을 준다. 그러므로 본 연구는 정보그림책의 면지와 본문 정보와의 관련성을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 면지는 색을 통해 배경과의 일관성과 연속성을 줌으로서 본문 정보와의 배경적 동질감을 준다. 또는 그림을 통해 본문 정보의 구성적 연속성을 지니거나 본문의 내용을 종합하여 보여주고, 때로는 추가적인 정보를 제공하고 있었다. 이는 이야기 그림책의 면지가 갖는 의미와 마찬가지로 정보그림책의 면지 역시 독자들의 정보를 향한 호기심을 자극하여 정보에 집중시킬 수 있는 의미로운 장으로서 바라볼 수 있음을 보여주었다.

During read a picturebook, children read the story and information and also see the various element like cover, title, endpaper. These elements have influenced how to read the text and how to see a information. According this opinion, the purpose of this study is to show the meaning of endpaper in connection with text in informational picturebook. Endpaper in informational picturebook showed a consistency and contiuity in setting that related with information in text through the colors. And through illustration, the content of endpapers has been had consistency with plot, pieced information together, and showed additional information in connection with text. Therefore, front and back endpapers in informational picturebook are not merely a decoration, but convey important visual information, so through the endpapers in informational picturebook, readers can be evoke children's curiosity and focus on information.
