어린이 담당 사서를 위한 스토리텔링 운영 매뉴얼 개발

A Study on Developing the Storytelling Manual for Librarians by NLCY(National Library for Children and Young Adults)

본 연구는 2009년도 국립 어린이청소년도서관에서 발간된 ‘어린이 담당 사서를 위한 스토리텔링 운영 매뉴얼’이 구성되기까지의 기초연구와 실행, 제작 과정을 담고 있다. 사서를 대상으로 실시된 설문결과를 중심으로 20권의 책이 선정되었으며, 스토리텔링은 책읽기 현장 관찰과 사서 및 구연 전문가 면담을 통해 다섯 가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 전체적으로 매뉴얼은 이론과 실제로 구성되고, 실제편은 다시 영아, 유아, 초등, 다문화 등 네 가지 범주로 나뉘어져 20권의 수업실행 과정이 소개되었다. 이 중 12권은 동영상DVD로도 제작되었다. 이 매뉴얼은 전년도에 개발된 ‘책 함께 읽기’ 온라인 강좌에 이어, 다양한 책 읽기 방법과 활동 방법을 도서관 사서들이 쉽게 활용할 수 있도록 했다는 데 의의가 있다. 또한, 본 연구를 통해 제시된 책 읽기와 활동방법들은 도서관뿐만 아니라 가정 및 교육기관에서도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study was to provide diverse reading-aloud strategies as well as activity skills on picture-books for librarians. The National Library for Children & Young Adults(NLCY) has given some supports to activate storytelling in children libraries for years. First, through surveys and interviews with librarians, 20 books were chosen. And then as a consequence of field observations and interviews, a classified table including 5 types of reading was presented. The library users were divided into 4 categories: infants and toddlers, young children, elementary schoolchildren, and multi-culture families. The programs in the Manual were checked at every stage by NLCY committee. They could be used as modelling cases for children teachers as well.
