영아기 그림책 맥락의 발달적 적합성

Developmentally appropriate picturbook contexts for infant

본 논문의 목적은 영아기라는 특정한 발달적 시기에 그림책이라는 맥락이 발달적으로 어떻게 적합해질 수 있는가를 알아봄으로써 영아 그림책에 대한 이론적 기초를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 먼저 그림이라는 2차원 자극에 대한 영아의 이해, 두 번째는 이야기 이해 능력의 고찰을 통해 영아기 그림책 맥락의 발달적 적합성을 분석해 보았다. 그리고 마지막으로 발달적 적합성에서 가장 중요한 요인이면서 동시에 다른 발달적 적합성에 포괄적으로 영향을 주게 되는 영아와 양육자간의 상호작용적 적합성을 상호주관적 의사소통(intersubjective communication)의 측면에서 고찰해 보았다. 특히 본 논문에서는 영아 그림책에서의 바람직한 상호작용적 모델로서 상호주관적 의사 소통을 통한 그림책 공유하기(sharing picturbook)를 제안하였다.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate how picture book can be worked for infant developmentally and to suggest theoretical basis and optimal way for infant-mother dyad with picture book. Understanding picture as a two dimensional stimulus of infant was reviewed by looking at infant's picture perception and responses. And then understanding story of infant was also reviewed with respect to script and event scheme as a story structure. The interactional appropriateness between infant and mother was mainly focused on picture book context for socio-emotional and communicational development. Intersubjective communication was the most important for building secure relationship as well as encouraging early language skill for infant. In this paper, sharing picture book more than just reading was suggested as a developmentally appropriate model concerning mother-infant interaction with picture book during infancy especially.
