책 읽기 부모교육 프로그램을 병행한 도서대여 활동이 부모의 양육행동과 유아의 언어 및 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향

The Effects of the Book Lending Program with Practical-type Book-reading Program for Parents on Parenting Behavior

본 연구는 책읽기부모교육 프로그램을 병행한 도서대여활동이 부모의 양육행동과 유아의 언어 및 사회성 발달에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 실험집단에는 체험 형 부모교육프로그램이 실시되었으며, 그 내용은 책읽기에 대한 지식, 태도, 책읽기활동 기술 등이었다. 그 결과, 부모들은 사회정서, 신체발달 등 발달관련 양육행동과 일반적 양육행동 전반에 걸쳐 긍정적 변화가 있었으며 유아의 경우 언어 능력 및 사회성이 증진되었다. 본 연구는 체험형 책읽기 부모교육 프로그램의 예를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study was to find out the effects of the book lending program with practical type book-reading education for parents on parenting behavior, young children's language ability and social development. The practical type book-reading education for parents consisted of 3 aspects: knowledge, attitude, and skill on book reading with young children. The results of this study showed that the book lending program with practical type book-reading education for parents had significant influence on parenting behavior, especially in physical and socio-emotional developmental area. Also, the book lending program with practical type book-reading education for parents caused some increase in young children's language ability and social development. This study suggested a new paradigm as far as book reading education for young children's parents concerned.
