그림책을 통한 행복감에 대한 연구

A Study on Feeling of Happiness through Picturebooks

본 연구는 그림책을 통해 경험하는 행복감에 대한 연구로서, 우리가 어떤 그림책에서 행복 정서를 경험하는지, 또 어떤 요소들이 우리로 하여금 행복감을 느끼게 하는지를 분석해 보았다. 행복 그림책을 찾기 위해서 일본과 미국의 주제별 그림책의 목록을 검토하였으며, 우리나라의 목록을 작성하기 위해서 10년 이상의 경력을 지닌 그림책 관련 분야 전문가 24명을 대상으로 자신이 행복감을 느꼈던 그림책을 10권씩 선정하게 하였다. 그리고 각 그림책에 대해 선정 이유를 답하게 하였다. 이 절차를 통해 총 154권의 그림책이 선정되었으며, 3인 이상의 추천을 받은 22권이 최종적으로 분석되었다. Keyes(2002)의 안녕감의 typological model과 Maslow의 욕구이론에 따라 각 그림책이 어떤 안녕감의 유형과 욕구 범주를 충족시켜 주는지가 분석되었다. 결과 17권이 높은 주관적 안녕감과 낮은 심리적 안녕감의 유형으로 분류되었으며, 5권이 높은 주관적 안녕감과 심리적 안녕감의 범주에 속했다. 참여자들이 행복을 느낀 그림책들은 대부분 사랑과 소속의 욕구를 충족시켜 주고 있었으며 그 다음으로 안전의 욕구와 생리적 욕구를 충족시켜주는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to find which picturbooks were for experiencing happiness to readers. And what were the key factors of reader's happiness through the picturebooks. Some of picturebooks list in Japan and U. S. were reviewed to find picturebooks for happiness in Korea. Twenty four experts related to picturebook were participated in selecting 10 picturebooks they experienced happiness before. They were then requested to answer the reasons for their selection. In the result, 154 picturebooks were first collected and 22 picturebooks nominated more than three times among them were finally analysed based on Keyes's typological model and Masolw's need hierarchy. Only five picturebooks of them were categorized in high-subjective and high-psychological well-being. In relation to satisfaction of need, love and belonging need was the important factor for experiencing happiness for the participants. Safety need and physiological need followed it in order.
