Reggio Teachers’ Concerns and Difficulty Based on the Characteristics of Teachers

본 연구의 목적은 교사특성에 기초하여 현재 레지오 접근법을 실천하고 있는 교사들을 대상으로 설문지를 통해 관심사와 레지오 교사로서 겪는 어려움을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 연구대상은 현재 레지오 접근법을 실천하고 있는 교육기관에서 레지오 교사교육을 받고 있는 서울∙경기, 대구∙경북, 부산∙경남지역 유치원 교사 185명이다. 첫째, 레지오 교사들이 가장 관심이 있다고 지각한 범주는 ‘강화관심사’였으며, 다음으로 ‘생존관심사’, ‘성숙관심사’, 가장 낮은 관심을 보인 범주는 ‘갱신관심사’로 나타났다. 둘째, 레지오 교사의 관심사는 경력에 따라 유의미한 차이가 없었으나 ‘강화관심사’를 제외한 관심사 범주에서 학력 집단에 따른 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 레지오 교사들이 가장 많은 어려움을 느끼는 범주는 ‘시간운영’이었으며 다음으로 ‘대인관계’, ‘프로그램’, ‘능력개발’, ‘제도 및 시설’, 가장 낮은 어려움을 보인 범주는 ‘생활지도’ 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 레지오 교사의 어려움은 경력에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었으나, 학력에 따라 어려움 하위범주, 즉 ‘프로그램’, ‘제도 및 시설’ 범주에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 레지오 교사들의 관심사와 어려움에 대한 논의는 레지오 교사들을 이해하고 어려움 해소를 위해 함께 고민하며 그들이 좀 더 교육에 몰입할 수 있는 근무환경 개선의 계기를 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

This study examines teacher concerns and difficulties based on the characteristics of teachers who are using the Reggio Emilia Approach and to enable us to understand teachers and find out some meaningful differences. Some of the research questions are shown below in this study. 1. What is the tendency of the perceived concerns of the Reggio teacher? 2. Are teachers' concerns different depending on their career and educational background? 3. What is the tendency of the perceived difficulties of the Reggio teacher ? 4. Are teachers' difficulties different depending on their career and educational background? The outcomes from this study are as follows : First of all, Reggio teachers are most interested in , that the perceived category was 'reinforced concerns', followed by 'survival concerns', 'maturity concerns'. 'Renewed concerns' category showed the lowest number of concerns. Secondly, teachers' concerns about the difference depending on career and educational background showed differences based on educational background, but not based on career. Third, Reggio teachers feel the most difficult category was 'hour' and 'living map' category showed the lowest difficulty. Fourth, when it came to the difference of sub-categorical difficulties depending on career and educational background, the analysis showed beginning teachers recognized much more difficulty in guidance counseling.
