정서지능 관련 학술지 논문의 연구동향 분석

An Analysis Study on Research Trends of Emotional Intelligence for Young Children

본 연구에서는 정서지능의 중요성에 대한 인식을 토대로 유아교육계에서는 어떤 주제로 정서지능 관련 연구가 이루어졌으며, 연구방법에서의 특징은 무엇인지에 대해 살펴봄으로써, 앞으로의 정서지능 관련 연구에 기초자료 제공 및 발전방향을 모색해보고자 한다. 본 연구의 분석대상은 유아교육과 관련된 학술지 중 한국학술진흥재단에 등재된 6개의 학술지에 실린 정서지능과 관련된 논문들이다. 논문들은 연도별 연구 동향, 연구 방법적 동향(연구대상 및 대상기관의 유형, 연구유형, 연구도구, 자료의 수집 및 분석)과 연구 주제의 동향으로 나누어 분석하였다. 연구결과 2002년도에 들어서면서부터 정서지능과 관련된 연구가 매년 꾸준히 이루어지고 있었으며, 유아를 대상으로 한 연구, 양적연구가 많았다. 발달과 관련된 연구가 많이 이루어졌으며, 연구도구로는 김경회, 김경희(1998; 1999)의 교사용 유아 정서지능 평정척도가 많이 사용되었다. 자료의 수집을 위해 다중측정법이 가장 많이 사용되었고, 실험법이 그 뒤를 이었다. 이들 자료는 차이검증의 방법으로 많이 분석된 것을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 유아교육 분야에서 정서지능과 관련하여 보다 다양한 주제와 방법으로 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study explored general research trends in emotional intelligence in early childhood education from 1997 to 2012, through an analysis of 95 articles from 6 Korean academic journals. The 95 articles were analyzed by the research trends by year, the research method (research type, research subject, data collection and analyzing method) and the research topic. The results of this study are as follows: 1) As for the research trend by year, the study of emotional intelligence for young children has continued from 1997 until 2012. 2) As for the research method, (a) the greatest number of research types was quantitative research. (b) The research subjects were generally children. (c) The most frequently used data collection method was multiple measurements method and second data collection method was experiment method. (d) The most frequently used data analyzing method was a difference verification using t-test or analysis of variance. (e) The most used measurement scale was Child Questionnaire by Kim & Kim (1998; 1999). 3) As for the research topic, the largest number of study topics were child development for emotional intelligence. Recommendations for future research are as follows: further research in the field of early childhood education emotional intelligence and a wider variety of topics and methods of research should be done.
