그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동과 이야기이해력에 미치는 효과

The Effect of Character Educational Activities Using Fairy Tales on Children's Prosocial Behavior and Story Comprehension

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동이 유아의 친사회적 행동과 이야기이해력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 연구대상은 G광역시에 소재한 D유치원의 만 5세 유아 실험집단 23명, 비교집단 22명이었다. 실험집단 유아에게는 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동을 전개하였으며 비교집단 유아들에게는 교육과정에 의한 일반적인 활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동을 실시한 실험집단의 유아들이 비교집단보다 친사회적 행동과 이야기이해력에서 높게 나타나 유의미한 결과를 나타냈으며, 이러한 결과는 유아교육현장에서 그림책을 활용한 인성교육활동을 활성화하는데 효과적인 교수・학습 방법의 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

This study is to examine effect of the character educational activities using fairy tales on children's prosocial behavior and story comprehension. Twenty-three 5-year-old children were selected for the experimental group and twenty-two children were selected for the control group. Children in the experimental group experienced character educational activities using fairy tales and those of this control group read stories related to the theme of life for a total of three weeks. As a result of study, children who experienced character educational activities using fairy tales showed significant results in prosocial and story comprehension. The results very remarkable implication in developing and applying teaching and learning methods of character educational activities for young children.
