다문화그림책을 활용한 유아문학교육 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 다문화감수성과 다문화교수효능감에 미치는 영향

The Effect of an Early Children’s Literature Education Program using Multi-culture Picture Books on Preservice Early Childhood Teachers’ Multicultural Sensitivity and Multicultural Teaching Efficacy

본 연구의 목적은 다문화그림책을 활용한 유아문학교육 프로그램이 예비유아교사들의 다문화감 수성과 다문화교수효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 3년제 대학교 유아 교육과에 재학 중인 48명의 예비유아교사였다. 이들 중 24명은 실험집단으로 분류되어 다문화그림책을 활용한 유아문학교육프로그램을 경험하도록 하였고, 나머지 24명은 비교집단으로 유아문학교육프로그램을 경험하도록 하였다. 다문화그림책을 활용한 유아문학교육프로그램은 유아문학이론강의, 소집단토론, 다문화그림책 읽기, 모의수업, 수업반성활동, 반성적 저널쓰기로 구성되었고, 본 교육프로그램에서 소개된 다문화그림책은 교육인적자원부 추천 다문화 관련 어린이도서에서 선정하 였다. 본 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해서 사전과 사후에 다문화감수성과 다문화교수효능감 검사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 공변량분석을 하였다. 분석결과, 다문화그림책을 활용하여 유아문 학교육프로그램을 경험한 예비유아교사들은 그렇지 않은 예비유아교사들에 비해 다문화감수성과 다문화교수효능감 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 향상되었다.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of an early children’s literature education program using multi-culture picturebooks on multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching efficacy of preservice early childhood teachers. The subjects were 48 preservice early childhood teachers in a college. Twenty-four of them were put in the experiment group and went through the literature in the early childhood education program making use of the multi-culture picture books, while the others, the control group, used literature from an early childhood education program. The early childhood literature education program using multi-culture picture books consisted of lectures on theories of literature in early childhood, small group discussions, reading multi-culture picture books, trial classes, reflective activities in the classes and writing reflective journals. In addition, the multi-culture picture books introduced by the early childhood literature education program were selected from children's books which were associated with multiple cultures and strongly recommended by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development. To verify the effect of this program, tests on multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching efficacy were carried out and the data collected was analyzed by ANCOVA. From the results, multicultural sensitivity and multicultural teaching efficacy in the experiment group was higher than that of the control group.
