Comparative Analysis of the Mathematics Activities in the Nuri Curriculum Teacher Guide Books for Ages 3, 4, and 5

본 연구의 목적은 누리과정 교사용 지도서 수학활동을 분석하여 어떠한 분포를 띄는지 알아보고, 유아교사가 교육현장에 누리과정을 적용하는데 가이드라인을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 3,4,5세 교사용 지도서 총 32권에 수록된 활동 중, 수학활동으로 표기된 236개 활동의 생활주제별활동 수, 수학교육내용 활동 형태, 자료유형을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 연령별 특성을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학활동의 수에 대한 분석결과는 특정한 생활주제에 수학활동의 수가 편중된 경향을 보였으나 연령별 수학활동의 수는 고른 분포를 나타냈다. 둘째, 수학교육내용 분석결과 3세와 5세에서는 공간과 도형 개념이, 4세는 수와 연산 개념이 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 셋째, 수학활동의 활동형태에 대한 분석결과를 살펴보면, 생활주제에 따라 활동형태 유형의 수에 차이가 있었고, 연령별 분석결과 는 모든 연령에서 대·소집단 활동보다는 자유선택활동에 약 3배 이상의 활동이 집중되어 있었다. 넷째, 수학활동의 활동자료에 대한 분석결과를 살펴보면, 가장 많은 활동자료를 활용한 생활주제는 ‘봄·여름·가을·겨울’이었으며, 연령별 분석결과 3,4,5세 모두 일상적 자료와 사진 및, 글/그림이 빈도가 높았고, 5세는 다른 연령에 비해 동영상과 음악/인터넷 사이트, 활동지 및 기록지의 비중이 높은 것이 특징으로 나타났다.

The goal of this study was to analyze the mathematics activities in the 「Nuri Curriculum Teacher Guide Books for Ages 3, 4, and 5」 developed and supplied by the Ministry of Education, Because of science and technology in 2013, 236 mathematics activities were selected and analyzed by the Daily life-based theme, Ages, Mathematical concepts, Types of groups, and materials from 32 Guide Books. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the number of mathematics activities was not similar according to the daily life-based theme and ages. Second, the mathematics concepts were not evenly distributed according to the 11 daily life-based themes. There were many concepts of ‘space and shape’ for ages 3 and 5 , and ‘number' for age 4. Third, there were some differences in the types of group according to the daily life-based theme. The free choice activities were three times that of the large-small group activities. Forth, the number of daily materials was most used in ages 3-5. Especially, the percentages of use for videos, music/websites, and activity papers were high in age 5.
