보육교사의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 어린이집 원장의 인식

Daycare Director's Perception on Factors Influencing the Quality of Daycare Teachers

본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 보육기관 유형별 어린이집 원장의 인식 차이와 함께 경험적 견해는 어떠한가를 살펴보는데 있다. 연구대상은 B시에 위치한 어 린이집 원장 83명이었다. 연구도구는 선행연구를 바탕으로 보육교사의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 어린이집 원장의 인식을 알아보고자 연구자가 재구성한 질문지이며, 내용타당도 검정결과활용에 적합한 것으로 판단되어 최종 설문지로 활용하였다. 자료 분석은 Fisher의 exact test와 일원변량분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하고, 사후검증으로 Scheffe' 검증을 하였다. 면담의 자료는 연구 목적에 맞게 의미 있는 부분을 찾아 범주화하는 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 어린이집 원장들은 보육교사의 학력, 경력, 결혼유무, 연령, 교원자격 취득방법 등에 따라 교사의 질에 영향을 미친다고 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 대체로 법인·국공립어린이집 원장의 경우 다른 기관유형에 비해 높은 학력과 경력을 요구하는 것으로 나타난 반면, 가정어린이집의 경우 다른 기관유형에 비해 낮은 학력과 경력을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 보육교사 양성과정을 거친 교사의 경우 교수능력이 떨어진다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유치원 정교사 자격증 소지자를 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며 학점은행제에 대해서는 현장실습을 강화해야하며 학점은행제와 같은 교사양성과정의 검증을 강화해야한다고 인식하고 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to provide empirical data to develop a good teacher education curriculum through exploration about daycare directors’ perceptions on factors influencing the quality of daycare teachers and diverse factors influencing them. The research subjects were 83 daycare directors in day care centers located in Busan. The questionnaire developed by the researcher consisted of questions about the factors influencing the quality of daycare teachers. For data analysis, they practiced Fisher exact test and one-way ANOVA, and implemented Scheffe test by posteriori tests. In addition the data collected by depth interview was categorized after searching for meaningful spots and analyzed for its goal. The results of this research were as follows: Daycare directors perceived that the quality of a teacher is affected by the daycare teacher's academic ability, career, marital status, age, how to get the teaching qualification and so on. Most corporational, national and public daycare centers required higher academic ability and career than other types of institutions. On the contrary, directors of family daycare centers preferred lower academic ability and career than other institution types because they have to mostly care for infants. Considering the quality of a teacher, they preferred a person who has the qualifications of a kindergarten teacher. And directors had the opinion generally that the academic credit bank system that has the largest group of daycare teachers should strengthen work experience and the qualification process method in the teacher training process.
