아버지의 양육참여도가 유아의 정서조절능력 및 또래유능성에 미치는 영향력

The Effects of the Young Children’s Self-Regulation and Peer Competence According to Father’s Involvement in Child-Rearing

본 연구는 아버지의 양육참여도가 유아의 정서조절능력 및 또래유능성에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상으로 J시에 소재한 H유치원 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 150명과 그 아버지를 선정하였으며, 아버지의 양육참여도, 정서조절능력과 또래유능성에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 Pearson의 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 자료 분석 결과 첫째, 아버지의 양육참여도와 정서조절능력은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났으며 아버지의 양육참여도는 정서조절능력을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지의 양육참여도와 또래유능성은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났으며, 아버지의 양육참여도는 또래유능성을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 아버지의 양육참여도가 정서조절능력과 또래유능성에 중요한 예측 변인임을 시사한다.

The present study aimed to examine the effects of father’s involvement in child-rearing on their emotion regulation and peer competence. The subjects of the study were the father and the teachers in charge of 150 children aged five years attending child care centers in 'J' Metropolitan City. Tests of father’s involvement in child-rearing, emotion regulation, and peer competence were administered to the subjects. The collected data was processed through Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 version. The data analysis showed that first, father’s involvement in child-rearing and emotion regulation had an overall significant positive correlation, and father’s involvement in child-rearing was a significant predictive factor for emotion regulation. Second, father’s involvement in child-rearing and peer competence had an overall significant positive correlation, and father’s involvement in child-rearing was a significant predictive factor for peer competence. These results suggest that father’s involvement in child-rearing is an important factor for emotion regulation and peer competence.
