유치원 교사의 수학 교과교육학지식 및 수학에 대한 태도와 수학 교수효능감 간의 관계

Relationships Among Kindergarten Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Mathematics, Attitudes Toward Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching Efficacy

본 연구의 목적은 유치원 교사의 수학 교과교육학지식 및 수학에 대한 태도와 수학 교수효능감 간의 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 연구대상자는 부산지역의 유치원 교사 242명이였다. 연구도구는 유치원교사의 수학 교과교육학지식, 수학에 대한 태도, 수학 교수효능감을 측정하기 위한 측정도구를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석방법은 pearson의 상관관계분석, 단계적 회귀분석이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학 교과교육학지식과 수학에 대한 태도 전체 및 모든 하위 범주에서 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 수학 교과교육학지식과 수학 교수효능감, 수학에 대한 태도와 수학 교수효능감 전체에서 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 수학 교수효능감에 영향을 예측할 수 있는 변수는 교수학습방법에 대한 지식, 수학에 대한 불안, 교육과정에 대한 지식, 사회에서의 수학의 가치로 나타났다. 유치원교사의 수학에 대한 긍정적 태도와 수학 교수효능감을 높이기 위해서는 수학 교과교육학지식의 발달을 위한 교육과정이 고려된 프로그램 개발 및 교사교육이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among the pedagogical content knowledge of kindergarten teachers in mathematics, their attitudes toward mathematics and mathematical teaching efficacy. The subjects in this study were 242 kindergarten teachers in the region of Busan. The instrument used in this study was an inventory that was developed to evaluate the pedagogical content knowledge of kindergarten teachers in mathematics, their attitudes toward mathematics and mathematics teaching efficacy. As for data analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: First, their overall pedagogical content knowledge in mathematics and every subcategory of it were significantly correlated to their overall attitudes toward mathematics and every subcategory of it. And there was a significant correlation between overall pedagogical content knowledge in mathematics and overall mathematics teaching efficacy and between overall attitude to mathematics and overall mathematics teaching efficacy. Second, the variables that could predict mathematics teaching efficacy were knowledge of teaching and learning methods, math anxiety, curriculum knowledge and the value of mathematics in society. In order to help kindergarten teachers to have a positive attitude to mathematics and foster their mathematics teaching efficacy, the kind of programs and teacher education that are designed to improve pedagogical content knowledge in mathematics should be provided.
