그림책에 나타난 관계성 분석 : 태내기 주제 그림책을 중심으로

The Content Analysis of the Relationship Between characters in Prenatal Period Picturebooks

본 연구는 태내기를 다룬 그림책의 글과 그림 속에 나타난 관계성을 분석함으로써 그림책 속 등장인물 간의 관계성이 함축하고 있는 의미를 드러내고자 하였다. 이를 위해 배 속에 태아가 있는 상황을 묘사한 그림책, 아기가 태어나는 순간을 다룬 그림책, 태아를 중심으로 가족 간의 관계성이 나타나는 그림책, 손 위 형제가 엄마의 임신기간을 경험하고 있는 그림책 7권을 선정하였다. 연구결과, 태내기 주제 그림책에서는 새로운 관계 변화를 알려주는 전조가 나타났으며, 이러한 변화를 받아들이기 위해 소통하거나 오히려 고립되는 양면적인 관계성이 나타났다. 또 대부분의 그림책들은 종부에 태아 또는 신생아를 수용하고 새로운 가족으로 탄생하는 모습을 보여주었다. 결국 이러한 태내기 주제 그림책은 성인 작가가 기대하는 태아와 다른 가족 구성원들과의 바람직한 관계성을 재현하고 있었지만, 유아들로 하여금 자신의 출생을 상상해보고, 사랑으로 이루어진 가족 관계를 경험할 수 있는 통로가 될 것으로 보인다.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning of the implications of the relationships among the characters in prenatal period picturebooks(or picture-story book). To conduct this study, 7 picturebooks were analyzed describing a baby in womb, regarding birth, presenting relationship between family and their fetus, and a sibling finding out his mom is pregnant. Our findings are as follows. First, picturebooks present a sign of changes in family relationship. Second, to accept a baby in a family, they shown opposing relationship both communicated with each other and isolated instead. Third, the family accepted a fetus or a baby in the end and they became a newborn family. Finally, prenatal picturebooks depicted an advisable family relationship between family members from the perspective of an adult writer. And also these books can be the way to imagine thinking back to our birth and to experience a family relationship consisting of love.
