그림책 활용 또래중재 문제해결 토의활동이 유아의 배려적 사고에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 만5세 유아들의 인성함양을 목적으로 그림책을 활용하여 또래중재 기법에 의한 문제해결 토의활동을 구안하여 그 적용효과를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 서울에 소재한 유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 학급의 유아32명을 선정하여 실험집단 유아들에게 또래중재 기법에 의한 문제해결 토의활동을 9주 동안 실시하였다. 문제해결 토의활동의 내용은 배려적 사고의 구성요소를 내포한 그림책 선정과 이에 대한 브레인스토밍, 문제해결 토의상황과 또래협동 과제로 구성하였으며, 문제해결 토의활동의 교수·학습 방법은 문제해결 인식단계, 문제해결 토의단계, 문제해결 수행단계, 문제해결 평가단계로 구성하였다. 연구결과, 또래중재 기법에 기초한 문제해결 토의활동을 적용한 실험집단 유아들의 배려적 사고가 증진된 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to improve the caring thinking ability of children through the problem solving discussion activities through fairy tales based peer intervention. The following research question was formulated to address the purpose of this study: How does the problem solving discussion activities through fairy tales affect young children’s caring thinking ability? The subjects for this study were 32 children at the age of five from two kindergartens in Seoul City. The experimental group consisted of 15 children and the control group was made up of 17 children. The measuring tool for the study, which was developed by Lee Choon-hee(2007) was based on the type characteristics ofcaring thinking by Lipman (2003). The problem solving discussion activities through fairy talesbased peer intervention composed of 9 sessions was developed on the basis of related four steps: The children participated in the problem solving discussion activity with social competent peers for 9 weeks by theirteachers. They completed three-four activities, 30~40 minutes-per-activity and one cooperative game per week. The results were as follows: the children showed a significant increase in caring thinking ability. This fact implies that the problem solving discussion activities through fairy tales based peer intervention is effective for the improvement of young children´s caring thinking ability.
