스마트폰을 활용한 영아기 아버지교육이 아버지 부모효능감 및 양육태도에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Fathers’ Education about Infants Using Smartphones to Parents’ Sense of Competence and Parenting Attitude

본 연구는 스마트폰을 활용한 영아기 아버지 교육이 아버지의 부모효능감 및 양육태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 아버지 교육 후 교육에 대한 만족도와 요구사항을 조사하여 영아기 아버지 교육을 개선하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 따라 어린이집 만 1, 2세반에 재원 중인 영아의 아버지들 중 연구 참여를 희망한 아버지들을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 각각 20명씩 구성하여 연구하였다. 실험집단의 교육내용은 놀이주제와 놀이형태를 고려하여 선정되었으며, 아버지들에게 놀이안내문과 놀이 방법, 놀이 시 상호작용하는 방법을 동영상으로 제작하여 스마트폰으로 제공하였다. 통제집단은 실험 집단과 같은 내용의 놀이안내문에 놀이 활동사진을 첨부하여 가정통신문으로 제공하였다. 연구 결과 스마트폰을 활용한 영아기 아버지교육은 양육 효능감의 하위 요인인 ‘유능감’에서 효과가 있었으며, 양육태도의 하위 요인 중 ‘과보호적 성향’을 감소시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 아버지교육에서 요구되고 있는 놀이 활동과 상호작용 방법을 스마트폰이라는 매체적 특성을 활용하여 교육함으로써 아버지가 실행가능한 부모교육의 기회를 제공한다는 점에서 스마트폰을 활용한 영아기 아버지교육이 효과적인 부모교육이 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

This study is to investigate the effects of fathers’ education about infants to increase parenting sense of competence and parenting attitude by using smartphones. In addition to this investigation, extra surveys were carried out to discover the degree of satisfaction and demand of fathers who take part in this program to improve the fathers’ education about infants by using smartphones. The participants were 20 infants’ fathers in A childcare center for the experimental group and 20 infants’ fathers in W childcare center for the comparative group in K city. The content of fathers’ education was composed of parents’ letters and video on the internet to show how to play with their infants and interact with them during play times. The content was sent by smartphones to the experimental group and the content with parents’ letters and pictures was sent to the comparative group. The results were that the fathers’ education about infants using smartphones was effective to the factor of ‘parenting competence’ among ‘parenting sense of competence’ and to the factor of ‘overprotectiveness’ among ‘parenting attitude’. So smartphones can be used as an educational media for fathers who are short of time and reluctant to participate in fathers’ education, but also it has its own limitation and needs to be improved including offline meetings and interactive ways of communication.
