매체적 관점에서 텍스트의 변환 양상 및 의의 고찰 - <오늘이> 텍스트를 중심으로-

A Study of the Aspect and Significance of Text's Transformation - Focused on <Onuri> Texts -

본 연구는 우리 신화인 ‘원천강본풀이’를 저본으로 하는 동화·그림책·애니메이션으로 매체 변환한 텍스트들을 분석하여 그 변환의 양상과 의의를 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 디지털매체시대를 맞아 문자 중심의 인쇄매체에서 이미지 중심의 영상매체로 그 중심이 옮겨지고 있고, 컴퓨터와 스마트폰으로 대표되는 멀티미디어에서 아동용 텍스트의 영상화가 점점 가속화 되고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같은 현재의 상황에서 아동용 텍스트에서 나타나는 매체의 영향에 대한 연구의 필요성이 커졌다. 매체는 텍스트의 외형뿐 아니라 내용에까지 영향을 미쳐 의미를 변화시킨다. 따라서 본 연구는 아동용 텍스트에서 매체의 영향에 따른 문학적·교육적 의미를 재고하는 기초 연구로서 이루어졌다. <오늘이> 텍스트는 매체에 따라 다른 변형 양상을 보인다. 문자 중심 매체인 동화로의 변형은 서사의 문학성과 함께 유희적·교육적인 효과를 기대할 수 있다· 글과 그림의 상호작용으로 메시지를 전달하는 매체인 그림책은 생활 경험 또는 문학적 경험이 부족한 아동들에게 그림으로 정보를 제시함으로써 이야기를 쉽게 이해하고 감상의 근거를 제공해줄 수 있다. 또한 애니메이션은 영상·음성언어·음향효과 등을 사용하여 시청각적으로 정보를 전달하므로 문자 중심 텍스트보다 쉽고 재미있게 수용되며, 만화적 특성을 내포하는 매체적 특성을 가진다.

This study aims to consider the aspect and significance of transformation of text, by analyzing transformed text such as a children's story, picture book, and animation, which were written based on a Korean mythology, 'Wonchongangbonpuri'. The significance of image is stressed more than text-based printed media, and in the case of multimedia, typically computer and smartphone, visualization of text for children is accelerating. In this situation, more study is needed about the influence of media on children's text. Depending on the medium, a the meaning of the text changed not only it form but content as well. Therefore, this study was conducted as fundamental research of literary and educational influence of media on children's text. The text <Onuri> showed a different aspect of transformation depending on medium. Transforming into children's story, a text-based medium was able to have an experience of the literature and to have an entertaining and educational effect. Picture books, which deliver a message by the interaction of text and image, facilitates appreciation and understanding of the story to children, who have insufficient life or literary experience. Also, animation can be accepted more easily and amusingly than letter centered text, since it delivers information visually and auditorially by using picture, vocal language, sound effect, and has the peculiar feature of cartoons.
