권정생의 동화집 『하느님의 눈물』에 나타난 교육관 연구

The Study of the Educational View on Gweon, Jeong-Sang’s Collection of Fairy Tales, 『Tears of God』

이 연구는 권정생의 동화집 『하느님의 눈물』을 분석하여, 그 작품 속에 내면화되어 있는 작가의 교육관을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 먼저 권정생의 삶과 작품 세계를 구체적으로 살펴보고, 동화집 『하나님의 눈물』에 등장하는 인물의 특징과 주제의식을 분석한 다음, 이에 근거하여 작가의 교육관을 밝히고자 하였다. 『하느님의 눈물』의 등장인물은 하나같이 연약하고 어린 것들로, 그들은 호기심이 왕성하고 어려운 이를 불쌍하게 여길 줄 안다. 또한 시련을 통해 성장하고 어려울 때 서로 도우며, 어른의 본보기가 된다. 이러한 인물을 내세워 작가는 생명을 소중히 여기고 자연과 더불어 살며 욕심 부리지 않는 소박한 삶, 어렵고 약한 자를 돕는 삶, 평화를 사랑하고 하나가 되는 삶이라는 주제 의식을 선명하게 드러내고 있다. 작품 분석을 통해 권정생은 교육에 대해 생태주의적, 박애주의적, 평화주의적 관점을 견지하고 있음을 알 수 있으며, 이는 생태 교육과 인성 교육, 그리고 평화 교육의 측면에서 의의를 지닌다고 할 수 있다.

This study intends to illuminate his educational view internalized in the literary work, analyzing Gweon, Jeong-Sang’s collection of fairy tales, 『Tears of God』. In order to achieve the goal of this study, I first took a detailed look into Gweon, Jeong-Sang’s life and the world of his literary works, and then analyzed the charactonym and the thematic consciousness in the collection of fairy tales, and lastly illuminated his educational view on the basis of this. Every single character in 『Tears of God』 who is vulnerable and young is quite inquisitive and feels sorry for people in need. And they are role models to adults, growing up in trial and helping each other when in trouble. Putting these characters forth, the writer articulates the thematic consciousness, the experience of living a simple life without greed together with nature, of helping the poor and the weak, and of loving peace and being one using allegory and colloquialism. Analyzing the work, I grasped Gweon, Jeong-Sang thought of education as aspects of ecology, philanthropy and pacifism and this represents that his work, 『Tears of God』 has implications of education of ecology, humanism, and philanthropy.
