정보그림책을 활용한 건강교육활동이 유아의 건강인식 및 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향

Effects of Health Education Using Informational Picture Books on Health Awareness and Health Promotion Behavior of Young Children

본 연구의 목적은 정보그림책을 활용한 건강교육활동이 유아의 건강인식과 건강증진행위에 미치는영향을 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 D시에 위치한 D어린이집 만 5세 유아 40명을 실험 집단 20명, 비교 집단 20명으로 구성하여 실험 집단의 유아에게는 건강관련 정보그림책 읽기 활동을 하였고, 비교집단의 유아는 정규 교육과정에 기초한 건강교육을 실시하였다. 연구결과 실험 집단의 사후 건강인식에 대한 점수가 비교집단의 사후 건강인식에 대한 점수보다 통계적으로 더 유의미하게 높았다. 또한 실험 집단의 사후 건강증진행위에 대한 점수가 비교집단의 사후 건강인식에 대한 점수보다 통계적으로 더 유의미하게 높았다. 이러한 결과는 정보그림책 읽기 활동이 유아의 건강인식 및 건강증진행위에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 보여준다. 본 연구 결과는 유아의 건강인식 및 건강증진행위를 위해 유아교육 현장에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 매체인 그림책을 활용하는 것이 긍정적임을 밝혀냈으며, 이를 통해 유아교육 현장에서 유아의 건강인식 및 건강증진행위를 위해 정보그림책의 활용이 확대되어 사용되어질 것을 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of health education using informational picture books on health awareness and health promotion behavior of young children. The participants were thirty four 5-year-old children. and there were divided into experimental and comparison groups. The children in the experimental group participated in health-related informational picture book sessions and performed post-reading activities such as book making, dramatic play, and games. The comparison group participated in health education activities based on the Nuri curriculum. The results of this study show that reading informational picture books about health and participating in extended activities had positive effects on the health awareness and health promotion behavior of young children. The findings suggest that informational picture books are useful educational resources for the health education of young children.
