3-5세 연령별 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 제시된 성교육 그림책 분석

Analysis of Picture Books on Sex Education Presented by the Nuri Curriculum for Ages 3-5years

본 연구의 목적은 3-5세 연령별 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 제시된 성교육 그림책의 생활주제, 장르, 내용을 분석하여 유아성교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 함이다. 이에 따라 2015년 3월 20일부터 2015년 11월 30일까지 3-5세 연령별 누리과정에 제시된 그림책을 분석하였다. 분석준거로 생활주제는 ‘3-5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서’를 기초하였고, 장르는 고문숙외 3인(2013)의 ‘그림책 장르’ 분류를 기초로 하였다. 성교육 내용분석은 보건복지부, 인구보건복지협회(2011)의 ‘보육교사를 위한 유아 성교육 매뉴얼’ 준거에 의해 분석되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 3세는 ‘나와 가족’, ‘건강과 안전’, ‘환경과 생활’, ‘우리나라’, ‘봄 여름 가을 겨울’ 5개 생활주제에서 나타났고, 장르에서 정보그림책 2편, 생활동화 3편, 환상동화 3편, 전래동화 1편이었고, 성교육 내용에서 ‘인간발달’에 2편, ‘성과 안전’에 2편, ‘관계와 성 역할’에 4편, ‘생명존중’에 1편이 제시되어 총 9편이 나타났다. 둘째, 4세는 ‘나와 가족’, ‘건강과안전’, ‘우리나라’, ‘동식물과 자연’ 4개의 생활주제에서 나타났고, 장르에서 정보그림책 2편, 생활동화4편, 환상동화 1편, 전래동화 1편, 성교육 내용에서는 ‘인간발달’에 3편, ‘성과 안전’에 3편, ‘관계와 성역할’에 1편, ‘생명존중’에 1편으로 총 8편이다. 셋째, 5세는 ‘나와 가족’, ‘건강과 안전’, ‘생활도구’, ‘우리나라’, ‘동식물과 자연’, ‘환경과 생활’ 6개 생활주제에서 나타났고, 장르에서 정보그림책 2편, 생활동화4편, 환상동화 2편, 성교육내용에서 ‘인간발달’에 6편, ‘성과 안전’에 3편, ‘관계와 성 역할’에 6편, ‘생명존중’에 1편으로 총 16편이 나타났다. 본 연구결과 3-5세 연령별 누리과정 교사용 지도서의 성교육 그림책은 총 33편으로 누리과정 교육과정 전체 그림책(284편)의 약 9%정도 차지하고 있다. 따라서 누리과정에서 유아 성교육 그림책에 대한 관심이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

The aim of this study was to provide basic data on sex education for young children by analyzing the life themes, genre, and contents of picture books on sex education presented by teachers' guidance manual for the Nuri Curriculum for ages 3 to 5years. The results are as follows. The first results were on the Nuri curriculum for age 3. Life theme consisted of ‘my family & me’, ‘health & safety’, ‘the environment & life’, and ‘four seasons’. The genres consisted of ‘two books on information pictures’, ‘three books on life fairy tales’, ‘three books on fantasy fairy tales’, and ‘one book on transmitted fairy tales’. There were 9 picture books on sex educations consisting of ‘two books on human development’, two books on sex & safety’, 'four books on relationship & sex role’, and ‘one book on life respect’. The second results were for the Nuri curriculum for age 4. Life theme consisted of ‘my family & me’, ‘health & safety’, ‘my country’, and 'lives & nature'. The genres consisted of ‘two books on information pictures’, ‘four books on life fairy tales’, ‘one book on fantasy fairy tales’, and ‘one book on transmitted fairy tales’. There were 8 picture books on sex educations consisting of ‘three books on human development’, ‘three books on sex & safety’, ‘one book on relationship & sex role’, and ‘one book on life respect’. The third results were for the Nuri curriculum for age 5. Life theme consisted of ‘my family & me’, ‘health & safety’, ‘life instrument’, ‘my country’, ‘lives & nature’, and ‘the environment & life’. The genres consisted of ‘two books on information pictures’, ‘four books on life fairy tales’, and ‘two books on fantasy fairy tales’. There were 16 picture books on sex educations consisting of ‘six books on human development’, ‘three books on sex & safety’, ‘six books on relationship & sex role’, and ‘one book on life respect’. From the results, the public should be concemed about the books on early child sex education in the Nuri Curriculum.
