바깥놀이를 통한 수학활동이 유아의 수학적 능력 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향

The effect of Outdoor Play through Mathematics Activity on Young Children's Mathematical Ability and Prosocial Behavior

본 연구는 바깥놀이를 통한 수학활동이 유아의 수학적 능력 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 G광역시의 H유치원의 유아 40명을 대상으로 실험집단은 바깥놀이를 통한 수학활동을 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 바깥놀이를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 20.0프로그램을 활용하여 t-검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 바깥놀이를 통한 수학활동을 실시한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 수학적 능력 및 친사회적 행동이 증가하여 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 유아교육현장에서 바깥놀이를 통한 수학활동을 활성화하는데 효과적인 교수학습 방법의 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사하며 유아수학교육 프로그램 개발의 기초자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

This study is to examine the effect of outdoor play through mathematics activity on young children's mathematical ability and prosocial behavior. Twenty 5-year-old children of experimental group and twenty children of control group were selected. Children of experimental group conducted outdoor play through mathematics activity and those of control group outdoor play related to a theme about nature for total seven weeks. As a result of study, children who experienced outdoor play through mathematics activity showed significant results in mathematics ability and prosocial behavior. The results was very remarkable in developing and applying teaching and learning methods of the mathematics activity for young children.
