육아종합지원센터 내 그림책육아 부모소모임 교육에 관한 실행연구

Action Research for Picture Book Parenting on Small Group Class in a Child Care Support Center

본 연구는 D 육아종합지원센터에서 가정양육지원을 위해 수행된 그림책육아 부모소모임 교육이 실행되는 과정과 수업에 참여한 부모들에게 나타난 변화의 의미를 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 부모소모임 교육의 실행은 매주 1회, 1시간씩 총 8차시에 걸쳐 이루어지도록 계획되었으며, 부모들과의 사전면담과 매 차시별 평가에 나타난 요구를 반영해 1차 실행과 평가, 2차 실행과 평가로 진행되었다. 부모들의 변화를 살펴본 결과 크게 '내 자녀 알아가기, 그림책 육아입문하기', '그림책 실습으로 육아에 다가서기', '그림책육아로 행복한 부모되기'의 의미가 포함되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 부모소모임 교육이 부모들에게 사회적 지지를 통해 그림책을 자녀와 함께 읽는 기쁨을 줄뿐만 아니라 육아에 대한 자신감도 갖게 해주었음을 알 수 있었다.

The aims of this study were to examine the organization and application of picture book parenting on small group class in a child care support center at D city, and to observe how the attitudes of the twelve participating parents changed during the class. This small group class was done one hour per a week over 8 sessions. Interviews and journals by the participants and researchers were collected and analyzed. The findings are as follows. Firstly, the parents became aware of their kids’ book preference, and learned the meaning of picture book parenting. Secondly, participants understood the way of bringing up their kids as they practiced how to read books. Thirdly, parents learned how to become happier parents by applying picture book parenting. This study showed that using the picture book parenting technique on a small group class gave parents the pleasure of shared book reading with their kids, and empowered them in child rearing.
