유아 사회능력 발달 효과에 관한 메타분석 : 학술지 논문을 중심으로

A Meta-analysis of the Effects of the Development of Social Competence in Young Children

본 연구는 유아 사회능력 발달 효과를 분석하였다. 국내학술지에 게재된 논문 중 본 연구의 자료 선정 기준에 부합하는 논문 19편을 대상으로 CMA 메타분석 프로그램을 활용하여 61개의 효과크기를 산출하였다. 연구의 목적은 선정된 자료로부터 유아 사회능력 발달 효과의 전체 평균 효과 크기와 변인 간 평균효과 크기의 차이를 밝히는 데에 있다. 연구 결과 첫째, 유아 사회능력 발달 효과의 전체 평균 효과크기는 1.08로 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 하위요인으로 사회적 유능감과 사회적 능력의 효과크기가 큰 것으로 나타나 유아의 사회능력 발달을 위한 프로그램 적용이 유아의 사회적 유능감과 사회적 능력을 향상될 수 있음을 시사한다. 둘째, 조절변인별 효과크기는 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 실험 처치기간은 9주 이상, 처치횟수는 16회 이상으로 실시하는 것이 효과크기가 크고 소집단보다는 대집단활동이 효과크기가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 종합하면, 유아 사회능력 발달에 영향을 미치는 조절변인을 고려하여 유아의 사회능력 신장을 위한 전략 및 도구를 개발 할 필요가 있다.

This study analyzed the effects of the development of social competence in young children. This study examined the moderating variables that influence development of social competence in young children. Papers published in journals from 2001 to 2016 were analyzed for the effects of the development of social competence in young children. Among the 19 papers selected for this study, the moderating variables influences the social competence effect which is the dependent variable in the education of social competence in young children. Thus, the purpose of the study was to clarify the differences between the average effective size of each variable and the average effective size between variables. The results of this study were as follows: First, the overall effect size was 1.08 (U3=85.99), which represented a large effect according to Cohen's standard. Secondly, the size of the effect on social competence showed differences depending on application period of the program and the number of the program. Ultimately, there is a need to develop strategies and tools for the development of social competence in young children.
