The Relative Importance and Priority in the Selection of Picture-books Using the AHP

The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of picture book specialist's and mother's picture book selection criteria and to suggest the direction of selecting a picture book for a mother who is having difficulty in selecting high-quality picture book by comparing the priorities and relative importance of picture book selection criteria for the picture book specialist group and the mother group. The survey was conducted on the web, and fifty-four responses were collected. After examining the consistency rate, thirty-eight cases were finally calculated with the AHP method. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) the printed text was the most important factor in the main factors; (2) the young children's interest was the most important in the printed text; (3) the basic element of the picture was the most important factor in the pictorial text; (4) popularity was the most important factor in the paratext, and (5) young children's interest turned out to be the most import factor in the ten sub-factors for both groups. The results of this study can contribute to the development of a reading environment for young children by helping to choose the appropriate high-quality picture books that the mothers are using.

본 연구의 목적은 그림책 전문가 집단과 어머니 집단의 그림책 선정 기준의 우선순위와 상대적 중요도를 비교함으로써, 그림책 전문가와 어머니의 그림책 선정기준의 현재모습을 파악하고 수준 높은 그림책 선정에 어려움을 겪고 있는 어머니에게 그림책 선정의 방향성을 제시하는 것이다. 그림책 전문가와 어머니의 상대적인 중요성과 우선순위를 분석하여 수준 높은 그림책 선정 기준을 밝히는 것이다. 설문 조사는 웹에서 수행되었으며, 54개의 응답이 수집되었다. 일관성 비율을 검토 한 결과, 최종적으로 38부가 AHP 방법으로 산출되었다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다: (1) 주요 요소 중에서 글 텍스트가 가장 중요한 요소였다. (2) 글텍스트에서 유아의 관심이 가장 중요했다. (3) 그림텍스트에서 그림의 기본요소가 가장 중요한 요소였다. (4) 파라텍스트에서 인기가 가장 중요한 요소였다. (5) 유아의 관심은 두집단의 10가지 하위 요인 중 가장 중요한 요소였다. 이 연구의 결과는 어머니가 겪고 있는 수준 높은 그림책을 구별하는 어려움을 해결함으로써 유아를 위한 독서 환경 조성에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
