그림책을 활용한 또래관계증진 활동이 만 3세 유아의 또래 유능성과 정서조절능력에 미치는 영향

Effects of 3-year-old Children’s Peer Relations Promotion Activities Using Picture Books on Peer Competence and Emotion Regulation Ability

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 또래관계증진 활동이 유아의 또래 유능성과 정서조절능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 K도 W시 공립 단설 A유치원의 만 3세 17명(실험집단)과 C시 공립 단설 B유치원의 만 3세 17명(비교집단)을 대상으로 매주 2회씩 8주 동안 연구가 진행되었다. 실험집단의 유아는 그림책을 활용한 또래관계증진 활동에 참여하였고, 비교집단의 유아는 이야기나누기를 통한 활동에 참여하였다. 연구결과 그림책을 활용한 또래관계증진 활동이 만 3세 유아의 또래 유능성과 정서조절능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 그림책을 활용한 또래관계증진 활동이 만 3세 유아의 또래 유능성과 정서조절능력을 향상시키는데 효과적임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an activity that enhance peer relationships using picture books on children's peer competence and emotional regulation ability. The experimental group and comparison group consisted of seventeen 3-year-old children from A kindergarten in W city and B kindergarten in C city. Twice a week for 8 weeks, a picture book was used for an activity to enhance peer relationships. The results were as follows. First, the activity to enhance peer relationships using picture books had positive effects on the peer competence of 3-year-old children. Second, the activity to enhance peer relationships using picture books had positive effects on the emotional regulation ability of 3-year-old children. The results of this study suggest that the activity to enhance peer relationships using picture books may be a useful tool to improve the peer competence and emotional regulation ability of 3-year-old children.
