위인그림책 관련 통합활동이 유아의 자아존중감과 다문화수용성에 미치는 효과

The Effect of Integrated Activities with Biography Picturebooks on the Self-Esteem and Multicultural Acceptability of Young Children

본 연구는 위인그림책 관련 통합활동이 유아의 자아존중감과 다문화수용성에 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보는 것이 주된 목적이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 만5세 유아 38명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누고 실험집단 유아들에게 위인그림책 관련 통합활동을 주 2회 8주 동안 16회 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 첫째, 위인그림책 관련 통합활동은 유아의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 둘째, 위인그림책 관련 통합활동은 유아의 다문화수용성에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 이러한 결과는 위인그림책 관련 통합활동이 유아의 자아존중감과 다문화수용성을 향상시키는데 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알려주고 있다.

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrated activities with biography picturebooks on the self-esteem and multicultural acceptability of young children. The subjects of this study were 38 five-year-old children who were separated into an experimental and control group. A program of integrated activities with biography picturebooks was conducted in the experimental group twice a week for 8 weeks. The Nuri curriculum was carried out in the control group during their daily routine. This study showed several results as follows. First, the integrated activities with biography picturebooks had an effect on young children’s self-esteem. Second, the integrated activities with biography picturebooks were effective for multicultural acceptability. The results of this study mean that the integrated activities with biography picturebooks is effective for enhancing young children’s self-esteem and multicultural acceptability.
