그림책 「만희네 집」에서 나타난 집(house)의 의미 : 교육생태학관점에서

The meaning of house in the picture book 「Manhee's house」: From an educational ecological perspective

본 연구는 신자유주의 시대에 도구적이고 기능적으로 집을 바라보는 것이 아닌 진정한 집의 의미를 찾고자 교육생태학관점에서 그림책 만희네 집 에 나타난 집(house)의 의미를 분석한 것이다. 분석 절차는 세 단계로 첫째, 페리텍스트, 글텍스트, 그림텍스트를 읽고 또 읽는 순환적 반복읽기를 통해 교육생태학 요소의 구체적인 특징을 찾아보고 문학적 요소와 미술적 요소로 나누어 정리하였다. 둘째, 선행연구 분석을 통해 교육생태학 요소의 구체적인 분석범주를 설정하였고 순환성, 공존과 공생, 관계성, 생명성으로 의미를 범주화하였다. 셋째, 분석내용을 하위범주와 상위범주로 코딩하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 만희네 집 의 시·공간의 구조에서 본 ‘순환성’, 둘째, 자연과 인간이 함께하는 ‘공존과 공생’의 집, 셋째, 자연과 인간을 넘어서 물질과 내부작용의 ‘관계성’, 넷째, 만희네 집 에서 살아 숨쉬는 ‘생명성’으로 나타났다. 교육생태학관점에서 본 만희네 집(house)은 인간-물질-자연이 함께하는 존재의 공간이었으며, 생명성을 가진 공동체적 관계망이었다.

This study analyzed the meaning of the house in the picture book Manhee's House from an ecology of education point of view to find the meaning of the real house rather than instrumentally and functionally looking at the house in the age of neoliberalism. In the three steps of the analysis process, first, the specific characteristics of the elements of educational ecology were examined and divided into literary and artistic elements. Second, through the analysis of previous studies, a specific analysis of the categories of the elements of education ecology was established, and the meanings were categorized into circularity, coexistence, symbiosis, relationship, and life. Third, the analysis contents were coded into lower and upper categories. The analysis results are as follows. First, 'circularity' is seen in the structure of time and space in Manhee's house. Second, the house coexists symbiotically in which nature and humans live together. Third, beyond nature and humans, there is 'relationship' between matter and internal action. Fourth, it appeared as 'life' that lives and breathes in Manhee's house. Thus Manhee's house from an educational ecology perspective is a space of existence where humans-material things and-nature are together forming a vital community network.
