역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사교육 활동이 유아의 시간개념과 조망수용능력에 미치는 영향

The Effects of a History Education Activity Using Role Playing as a Teaching-Learning Method on Young Children's Time Concept and Perspective Taking Ability

본 연구의 목적은 역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사교육 활동이 유아의 시간개념과 조망수용능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 광주광역시의 G 유치원 만 5세 유아 38명(실험집단 19명, 비교집단 19명)이었다. 실험집단은 역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사교육 활동에, 비교집단은 누리과정에 따른 일상적인 활동에 참여하였다. 실험 처치는 2018년 9월 10일부터 10월 26일까지 7주 동안 총 15회 시행되었다. 연구결과, 역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사 교육 활동에 참여한 실험집단 유아의 시간개념 과거와 타인감정 조망수용이 유의하게 향상한 것으로 나타났다. 이처럼 유아의 시간개념 과거와 타인감정 조망수용이 유의하게 향상한 것은 역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사교육 활동이 유아의 시간개념과 조망수용능력을 향상하는 데 효과적임을 가리킨다. 따라서 본 연구는 역할놀이 교수-학습 방법을 활용한 역사교육 활동이 유아의 시간개념과 조망수용능력 향상에 이바지함을 보여줌으로써 유아의 시간개념과 조망수용능력을 향상할 수 있는 교수-학습 방법을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a history education activity using role playing as a teaching-learning method on young children’s time concept and perspective taking ability. Participants consisted of thirty-eight 5-year-old children who were going to G kindergarten in Gwangju metropolitan city. Half of them belonged to the experimental group and the other half to the comparative group. The experimental group participated in the history education activity using role playing as a teaching-learning method, and the comparative group used the routine activity according to the Nuri curriculum. The experiment was conducted a total of 15 times for 7 weeks from the 10th of September to the 26th of October in 2018. The results of this study show that the time concept of the past and perspective taking about others’ emotions of the young children in the experimental group showed meaningful improvement. This indicates that history education using role playing as a teaching-learning method is effective to improve young children’s time concept and perspective taking ability. As a result, this study suggests using the teaching-learning method to improve young children’s time concept and perspective taking ability by showing that history education activity using role playing as a teaching-learning method contributes to improving young children’s time concept and perspective taking ability.
