유아의 언어능력과 메타인지 간의 관계에서 놀이유형의 매개효과

The Mediating Effects of Play Style on the Relationship Between Linguistic Abilities and Metacognition

본 연구에서는 유아의 언어능력과 메타인지 간의 관계에서 놀이유형의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울·경기 지역 유치원에 재원하고 있는 만 5세 유아 277명이다. 유아의 언어능력, 놀이유형 그리고 메타인지에 관한 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 구조방정식 모형 분석과 매개효과의 검증을 위해 붓스트래핑을 실시하였다. 자료 분석 결과, 유아의 언어능력은 메타인지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 유아의 언어능력은 놀이 유형인 인지놀이와 상상놀이에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 놀이의 유형의 매개효과에서는 상상놀이만 완전매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 유아의 언어능력과 메타인지 간의 관계에서 놀이유형의 매개효과에 대해 논의하였다.

This study examined the relationship of linguistic abilities and young child' metacognition to investigate the mediating effect of play style. The study was administered to 277 5-year-old children. A total of 277 teachers from 65 kindergartens located in Gyeonggido participated in the study. Structural equation model was applied to the collected data. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are existing significant relationships among linguistic abilities, play style, and metacognition. Second, linguistic abilities had a positive indirect effect on metacognitiont using play style (children's pretend play) as a mediator. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that education and various programs must be developed to improve child's pretend play through positive linguistic abilities to enhance a child's metacognition.
