레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동이 유아의 자아개념 및 창의성에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Intergrated Art Activities on Self-concept and Creativity of Young Children using Leo Lionni's Picture books

본 연구의 목적은 레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동이 유아의 자아개념 및 창의성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 경기도 G시에 위치한 S 어린이집과 N 어린이집의 만 4, 5세 유아 30명(실험집단 15명, 비교집단 15명)으로 실험집단은 레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동을, 비교집단은 누리과정 생활주제를 중심으로 한 그림책 활동을 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동이 유아의 자아개념에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 자아개념의 하위요인 중 인지적 자아, 사회적 자아, 정서적 자아, 신체적 자아에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동은 유아의 창의성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 창의성의 하위요인인 언어 창의성, 도형 창의성, 신체 창의성, 상상력에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 결론적으로 레오 리오니의 그림책을 활용한 통합예술활동은 유아의 자아개념과 창의성을 향상시키기 위한 효과적인 교수학습방법임을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of integrated art activities using Leo Lioni's picture books on children's self-concept and creativity. The subjects of the study were 30 children aged 4 and 5 years old (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the comparative group) from S daycare center and N daycare center located in G-city, Gyeonggi-do. The group carried out picture book activities centered on the life theme of the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum. The results of this study were as follows: First, it was found that the integrated artistic activities using Leo Lioni's picture book had a positive effect on the self-concept of children. Specifically, there were statistically significant differences in cognitive self, social self, emotional self, and physical self among the sub-factors of self-concept. Second, it was found that the integrated art activities using Leo Lioni's picture books had a positive effect on children's creativity. Specifically, there were statistically significant differences in language creativity, figure creativity, body creativity, and imagination, which are sub-factors of creativity. In conclusion, it was confirmed that integrated artistic activities using Leo Lioni's picture books are an effective teaching and learning method to improve children's self-concept and creativity.
