협력적 실행연구를 통한 만2세 영아반 자유놀이시간의 효율적 운영 방안 탐색

A collaborative action research for improving the free play of 2 year olds in a day care center

본 연구는 만2세 영아반 자유놀이시간의 효율적인 운영 방안을 모색하고, 연구 실행과정을 통한 교사의 변화를 탐색하는 협력적 실행연구로 2019년 2월 11일부터 2019년 9월 13일까지 진행되었다. 담임교사, 연구자, 영아 7명이 참여하였으며, 면담, 저널 작성, 동영상 촬영, 관찰 등으로 자료수집이 이루어졌다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사의 자유놀이시간에서의 어려움을 파악하고 개선점을 확인한 후, ‘놀이 흥미를 자극하는 환경 구성하기, 놀이 몰입을 유도하는 환경과 반응 제공하기, 영아가 주도하는 놀이시간으로 만들기, 놀이의 안내·연계·정리가 순환되기, 통합된 방식의 자유놀이시간 운영하기, 교사의 놀이지도 및 상호작용 기술 반성하기’의 여섯 가지 방안을 순서대로 계획하고 실행하였다. 둘째, 이와 같은 실행을 통해 교사에게 자유놀이에서의 영아 놀이에 대한 이해를 심화하였고, 놀이 상황에서의 문제 해결 기술의 증진, 반성적 태도가 함양되는 효과가 나타났다. 또한 실행과정을 통해 교사로서의 즐거움과 보람을 느끼는 변화를 경험하였다. 이러한 결과는 만2세 영아반의 자유놀이시간 운영 개선을 위해 다양한 현장 사례 발굴과 교사의 반성적 경험을 통한 협력적 실행연구의 필요성을 시사한다.

A collaborative action research was performed to explore the effective operation of free play time of 2-year old children and the changes of the teachers through the execution process from February 11 to September 13, 2019. A head teacher, a researcher, and 7 children participated in this study, and data were collected and analyzed through interviews, journals, video recording, and observation. The research results were as followed. First, after identifying the difficulties in free play time, the teacher and the researcher prepared six action plans to improve the operation of the free play time as follows: creating an environment that stimulates interest in play, providing an environment and reaction that induces play immersion, making play time led by infants, linking guidance, connection, and arrangement of play, operating free play time in an integrated manner, and reflecting on the teachers' play guidance and interactive skills. Second, it was found that through this collaborative action study, the teacher improved her understanding of play with her children, problem-solving skills in play situations, and reflective attitudes, and also experienced changes such as pleasure and reward as a teacher. These findings suggest the necessity of collaborative action studies through the discovery of various field cases and reflective experiences of teachers to improve the operation of the free play time for 2-year-old children.
