본 연구는 비행청소년의 학교생활 경험과 적응과정을 탐색하고 그 현상들을 확인하여 이들을 이해하고 지원하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 기소유예나 소년재판에서 보호처분을 받았던 비행청소년 7명을 대상으로 자신들의 학교생활 경험을 구체적으로 진술할 수 있는 자들을 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였다. 면담자료는 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과, ‘개인적 특성’, ‘가족 환경’, ‘학교 안에서의 경험’, ‘학교 밖에서의 경험’, ‘학교생활의 적응요인’, ‘학교적응에 대한 노력과 희망’, 등 6개의 구성요소와 ‘내적 성격특성’, ‘외적 생활 습관’, ‘의사소통 문제’, ‘가정의 경제적 어려움’, ‘또래 관계’, ‘또래들의 차별과 편견’, ‘교사와의 관계 및 갈등’, ‘학습 흥미’, ‘수업 태도와 성적’, ‘학업 중단’, ‘학업 중단 후 심리적 경험’, ‘새로운 환경과 만남’, ‘현실 자각과 새로운 배움의 시작’, ‘심리적 변화와 반성’, ‘주변의 지지와 공감’, ‘실천 의지’, ‘미래에 대한 꿈’, 등 17개의 하위 구성요소가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학교생활 지원 방안과 적응 등에 대한 논의와 교육 치료 및 상담학적 함의 및 제한점 등을 제시하였다.
This study explores the school life experiences and adaptation processes of delinquent adolescents to better understand their needs and [rpvode effective support. In-depth interviews were conducted with seven adolescents who had received probation or juvenile court protection. Data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological method, revealing six components: ‘personal characteristics’, ‘family environment’, ‘experience in school’, ‘out-of-school experience’, ‘adaptation factors of school life’, ‘efforts and hopes for school adaptation’. and 17 sub-components: ‘Internal personality traits’, ‘lifestyle habits’, ‘Communication problems’, ‘Economic difficulties’, ‘Peer relationships’, ‘Discrimination and prejudice’, ‘Conflicts with teachers’, ‘Learning interest’, ‘Class attitudes and grades’, ‘Study dropout’, ‘Psychological experiences after dropping out’, ‘New environment’, ‘Awareness of reality and beginning of learning’, ‘Changes and reflection’, ‘Support and empathy’, ‘Will to practice’, ‘Dreams about the future’, The Findings offer insights into tailored support strategies for school adaptation, educational therapy, and counseling, along with implications for the future research and practice.
