알코올중독자 배우자를 둔 여성의 이혼위기 극복경험 연구

A Study on the Experience of Overcoming the Divorce Crisis of Women with Alcoholic Spouse

본 연구의 목적은 알코올중독자 배우자를 둔 여성이 남편과의 결혼생활에 직면한 이혼위기를 어떻게 극복했는가를 탐구하는 것이다. 연구의 대상으로 총 5명의 사례자를 선정했으며, 일대일 방식의 심층면담을 통해 필요한 자료를 수집했다. 수집한 자료는 Creswell(2021)의 사례연구방법으로 분석했다. 연구절차에 따라 ‘사례 내 분석’과 ‘사례 간 분석’을 적용했다. 사례 내 분석에서는 사례자들의 삶의 맥락에서 이혼위기를 극복하는 경험과정을 탐색하였다. 사례 간 분석에서는 사례 내 분석에서 나타난 공통점으로 ‘남편의 도 넘는 음주 인지’, ‘결혼생활에 대한 혼란스러움’, ‘술에 파생된 또 다른 문제’, ‘남편에 대한 부정적 인식’, ‘이혼 소망’, ‘이혼 걱정’, ‘지지체계 활용’, ‘남편에 대한 이해’, ‘남편의 변화, ‘자아의 재구성’, ‘의존에서 독립으로’, ‘소통과 타협의 관계 설정’을 포함하는 통합주제를 뽑아냈다. 연구자는 연구결과를 바탕으로 알코올중독자 배우자를 둔 여성의 이혼위기 극복을 위해 이혼에 대한 양가감정 확인, 독립된 자아 형성 지원, 예비부부 교육, 가정폭력에 대한 적극적인 개입 등의 실천적 함의를 제시했다.

The purpose of this study is to explore how woman with alcoholic spouse overcomes the divorce crisis facing her marriage with husband. A total of five cases were selected as subjects of the study and the necessary data were collected through one-to-one in-depth interviews. The collected data were analyzed by Creswell (2021)’s case study method. According to the research procedure, In-case analysis and inter-case analysis were applied. In the in-case analysis, the experience process of overcoming the divorce crisis in the context of the life of the cases was explored. In the inter-case analysis, the integrated themes involving ‘Husband’s excessive drinking awareness’, ‘Confusion about married life’, ‘Another problem derived from alcohol’, ‘Negative awareness about husband’, ‘Divorce wish’, ‘Divorce worry’, ‘Support system’, ‘Understanding of husband’, ‘Change of husband’, ‘Reorganization of self’, ‘From dependence to independence’, ‘Establishing relationship between communication and compromise’ were extracted based on the common feature in the case analysis. Based on the results of the study, the researcher suggested some practical implications such as confirmation of ambivalence about divorce, support for independent self-formation, pre-marital education and active intervention in family violence to overcome the divorce crisis of women with alcoholic spouses.
