비교과 마일리지의 적정성 탐색: K대학교 사례를 중심으로

Exploring the Appropriateness of Extra-curricular Mileage: Focusing on the Case of K University

이 연구는 K 대학교의 비교과 마일리지의 적정성에 관한 평가 방안을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 문헌 연구를 통해 메타평가의 평가 준거를 토대로 분석 기준을 마련하였다. 분석 절차로는 먼저 온라인에서 접근가능한 타 대학의 2023년 또는 2024년 선행 사례를 수집하였다. 수집된 사례는 분석 기준에 따라 분석하고 마일리지의 표준화 점수를 산출하여 유관 영역 및 항목에 대해 K 대학교 마일리지 기준 및 배점 체계와 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과. 비교과 마일리지 영역 및 항목과 핵심 역량과의 개연성을 제시하고, 마일리지 지표 및 기준에서 유연화가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 실제, 유관 항목별로 사례 대학의 표준화 점수와 비교한 결과, K 대학교의 마일리지 배점 기준은 상대적으로 낮은 점수에 분포되어 있어 전반적으로 상향 조정이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 비교과 마일리지 적정성 탐색 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 비교과 교육과정의 질 관리를 위한 마일리지 적정성 평가의 단초를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그러나 사례 비교 대상으로 다른 대학교의 비교과 마일리지 체계에 대한 부분적인 자료를 토대로 하였다는 점이 본 연구의 한계이다. 후속 연구로 실제 학생들의 취득 현황 분석을 포함하여 학회 차원의 광범위하고 체계적인 연구가 필요하다.

This study aims to propose an evaluation method for the appropriateness of the extracurricular mileage system at K University. To achieve this, analysis criteria were developed based on evaluation standards derived from meta-evaluation through a literature review. As the analysis procedure, some cases of extracurricular mileage systems accessible online from other universities in 2023 or 2024 were collected and analyzed according to the established criteria, and their standardized mileage scores were calculated to conduct a comparative analysis of related areas and items against K University's mileage standards and scoring system. The results indicated a need to strengthen the alignment between extracurricular mileage areas and items and core competencies while introducing greater flexibility in the mileage indicators and scoring criteria. A comparison of standardized scores for relevant items across precedent case universities revealed that K University's mileage scoring criteria are relatively concentrated at lower scores, indicating an overall need for upward adjustment in the scoring standards. Based on these findings, strategies for exploring the appropriateness of extracurricular mileage systems were suggested. This study is significant in that it provides a foundation for evaluating the appropriateness of mileage systems to enhance the quality management of extracurricular programs. However, its reliance on partial data from other universities' extracurricular mileage systems as comparative cases is a limitation of this study. Future research should include a comprehensive and systematic study at the academic association level, incorporating an analysis of actual student performances.
