Research on the Construction of China's National Image in Chinese History Textbooks

교과서에 나오는 국가 이미지는 애국주의 교육의 중요한 부분이다. 교과서는 학교 교육의 중요한 텍스트로서 국가 정체성에 도움이 되는 내용을 설정함으로써 국기 이미지를 형성하는 중요한 통로가 된다. 본 연구는 질적 소프트웨어를 활용하여 중국 중학교 역사 교과서에 대하여 정치, 경제, 문화, 물질, 정신의 다섯 가지 차원에서 텍스트 분석을 진행하여 교과서에서 구축된 고대 근대 및 현대의 중국 국가 이미지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 중국 역사 교과서에서는 바탕이 깊고 민족이 융합된 고대 문명 대국, 시련을 겪고 불요불굴의 용감한 근대 중국과 개혁개방, 민족부흥의 특색강국을 보여주었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 교과서에서는 현대적인 색상이 많이 부족하고 민족적 시각이 약간 불균형적임을 보여주었다. 교과서의 완벽성을 위해 이들 부족을 보완할 필요가 있다. 교과서가 국가 이미지를 구축하는 방법은 종합적인 과정이다. 이데올로기의 규범에서 포지셔닝하고 문화적 가치의 취향에 따라 내용 선택을 결정하며 언어 수사를 활용하여 예기한 의도를 전달하고 다양한 표현 전략을 사용하며 학생 개체의 시각을 고려하는 등 여러 측면에서 공동으로 노력해야 한다. 이러한 방법들은 서로 관련되고 상호 작용하여 교과서가 국가 이미지를 형성하는 완전한 체계를 함께 구성하도록 할 필요가 있다.

The national image in textbooks is an important part of patriotic education. Textbooks, as important texts in school education, have become an important channel for forming the national flag image by providing content that contributes to national identity. This study used qualitative software to conduct text analysis on Chinese middle school history textbooks from five levels: politics, economy, culture, material, and spirit, and analyzed the ancient, modern, and contemporary images of China constructed in the textbooks. The analysis results show that Chinese history textbooks depict a deeply rooted ancient civilization with ethnic integration, a brave modern China that has gone through hardships and persevered, and a characteristic strong country of reform, opening up, and national rejuvenation. However, textbooks still show a lack of modern color and a slightly unbalanced ethnic perspective. It is necessary to make up for these shortcomings in order to ensure the perfection of textbooks. The method of constructing the national image in textbooks is a comprehensive process. To be positioned within the norms of ideology, content selection should be determined based on cultural values, expected intentions should be conveyed through language rhetoric, multiple expression strategies should be used, and individual perspectives of students should be considered. These methods need to be interrelated and interact with each other to form a complete system for shaping the national image in textbooks.
