This study aims to present an educational approach based on webtoon production platforms to enhance the creative expression capabilities of modern youth who are digital natives. Recently, webtoons have established themselves as a major cultural content for young people and are gaining attention as a medium that encourages their voluntary creative drive. This study explores the educational potential of webtoon production platforms and develops a systematic creative education program. The research methodology included: First, analyzing the functions and characteristics of domestic and international webtoon production platforms to derive educational utilization elements. Second, examining the connection between middle and high school art curriculum and webtoon creative education. Third, developing and pilot-testing a 12-session webtoon creation education program applicable in actual educational settings. The research findings showed that creative education using webtoon production platforms had the following educational effects. First, youth's digital literacy and visual expression skills improved. Second, communication abilities and critical thinking skills were enhanced through collaborative feedback processes. Third, self-expression abilities and creativity developed through the process of visualizing their own stories. Fourth, achievement and confidence improved through online sharing of completed works. This study is significant in empirically verifying that webtoon production platforms can be effective tools for youth creative education. Furthermore, it provided educational implications responding to future educational environment changes by presenting new art education methodology considering the characteristics of youth familiar with digital environments.
