상담을 받은 재혼가족 자녀의 가족정체성 변화에 관한 내러티브 탐구

Family Identity Change of Stepchildren with Counseling Experience : A Narrative Inquiry

본 연구는 상담을 받은 재혼가족 자녀가 재혼가족의 구성원으로 살아가면서 체험하는 가족정체성에 관한 이야기를 통해 상담을 받은 경험이 어떻게 이들의 가족정체성의 의미를 구성하는데 작용하는지를 내러티브 탐구를 통해 심층적으로 이해하는 것을 목 적으로 한다. 이를 위해 의도적 표집방법으로 3명의 참여자를 선정하였고, 참여자별로 이루어진 5∼6회의 인터뷰 대화를 주 자료로 활용하였으며, 최종 연구텍스트를 통해 가족정체성의 의미를 구성하고 은유화하였다. 본 연구의 첫 번째 결과는 ‘참여자들의 내러티브 풀어내기’ 이며, 두 번째 결과인 상담을 받은 재혼가족 자녀의 가족정체성의 의미는 개인 내적인 측면에서 ‘원 플러스 원으로 딸려온 존재로 인식하다’, ‘용기내어 상담에 몸을 던지다’, ‘웅크린 나를 바로 세우다’이다. 가족체계적 측면에서 상담을 받은 재혼가족 자녀의 가족정체성의 의미는 ‘공존할 수 없는 두 태양을 바라보다’, ‘다른 팀과 한 경기장에 앉다’, ‘뿌리 잘린 나무가 새 땅에 다시 뿌리내리다’이다. 본 연구는 내부자의 시각으로 심도 깊은 체험적 연구로서의 가치를 드러내었으며, 재혼가족 자녀를 위한 심리적 지원, 복지 향상을 위한 제도 및 지원을 위해 상담 현장의 상담자, 재혼가족 관련 연구자, 학교 현장의 교육자에게 시사하는 바를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this inquiry is to explore family identity change of children from remarried families through their experience of counseling. Narrative inquiry was adopted in this study. Three participants were selected using the purposeful sampling method and interviewed 5 or 6 times per person. The first part of the study provided a narrative account of participants. The second part revealed the meanings of family identity of participants : ‘Becoming buy one get one free’, ‘Immersing myself in counseling with courage’ and ‘Standing up for myself rather than being afraid.’ In family systemic perspectives, the meanings of family identity were ‘Facing two Suns that cannot coexist’, ‘ Being one team with another’ and ‘A rootless tree grows in fertile soil.’ This study provides an insiders’ perspectives on remarried families and the experience of forming family identity through a counseling process. In addition, it requests educational, psychological and government support for children from remarried families. Finally, suggestions for counselors, family researchers, and educators were proposed.
