The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a simulation-based patient safety education program on patient safety knowledge, attitudes, and performance confidence among nursing and health sciences students. This study employs a one-group pretest-posttest quasiexperimental design to assess the impact of the simulation-based patient safety education program on patient safety knowledge, attitudes, and performance confidence in nursing and health sciences students. The study participants consisted of 60 students enrolled in nursing and healthrelated programs at a college located in D city. The collected data were analyzed using paired t-tests, and Pearson’s correlation coefficients. The patient safety knowledge of the study participants improved significantly (t=-22.090, p<0.001). Patient safety attitudes also showed a statistically significant improvement (t=-5.728, p<0.001). Patient safety performance confidence demonstrated a statistically significant difference as well (t= -3.550, p=0.001). Therefore, the simulation-based patient safety education program is an effective intervention for enhancing patient safety knowledge, attitudes, and performance confidence.
