The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of a multicultural education program on cultural competency, multicultural acceptability and intercultural communication competence. The research design employed a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The study included 54 participants, with 27 in the experimental group and 27 in the control group. The data were analyzed using t-test, Chi-square, and paired t-test with the SPSS windows 27.0 program. After the intervention, compared to the control group, the experimental group showed significant positive changes for cultural competency (t =12.928, p≤0.001), multicultural acceptability (t =9.729, p<0.001) and intercultural communication competence (t =5.743, p= <0.001). The results of this study indicate that multicultural education effectively enhances cultural competency, multicultural acceptability, and intercultural communication competence among nursing students. Thus, continuous efforts are needed to develop systematic multicultural education programs and integrate them into the nursing curriculum.
