This study was attempted to be used as basic data to suggest the correct direction for the low birth rate policy by identifying the factors influencing marriage intention for nursing college students representing the younger generation. Marriage intention according to the general characteristics of the subjects was found to be the most influential factor among them: when the family lived together, when parents married, when biological parents lived together, when parents married, when parents lived together, when parents married, when parents were happy, when they had sufficient pocket money, when girls had less than 30 years old, when there was a future child plan, and when the number of children wishing for the future was high. Marriage intention showed that the stronger the marriage motive, the higher the need for children, and the higher the traditional marriage view, the higher the marriage intention. Factors influencing marriage intention were child planning (β =0.424, p<0.001), traditional marriage view (β=0.182, p<0.008), child need (β=0.183, p<0.004), and marriage motivation (β=0.256, p<0.001). The explanatory power was 55.9%. Nursing students had higher marriage intentions when they had a child plan in the future, when they had a traditional marriage view, and when they recognized the need for children, when they had a stronger marriage motivation. This study was attempted to present basic data to present the correct direction for Korea’s low birth rate policy. It is necessary to improve various social institutions and programs to prevent young college students from losing their careers due to marriage and childbirth, conduct various liberal arts education in middle and high schools and universities to raise positive perceptions of marriage, promote stable and positive aspects of marriage using various channels, and promote children and raise children as important values of life.
