This study aims to explore the relationship between the mental and physical health of dementia patients and their caregiver, focusing on correlations between depression, stress, and emotional well-being. The research investigates the interconnections to suggest effective health management strategies for both groups. Data were collected from the medical records of dementia patients and their caregiver at the Mind Health Healing Center at Wonkwang University Jangheung Integrative Medicine Hospital. Pearson correlation analyses were conducted to examine the relationships between variables within and across the two groups. Significant findings included a strong negative correlation between physical stress in dementia patients and brain stress in caregiver. Additionally, a moderate positive correlation was observed between the physical fatigue of patients and the concentration levels of caregiver. Furthermore, strong correlations were found between depression scores within both groups. The results highlight the bidirectional emotional resonance between patients and caregiver. The study confirms that the mental and physical health of dementia patients and their caregiver are closely interconnected, with significant implications for the quality of care and overall well-being. The findings emphasize the need for an integrated approach that includes stress management, emotional support, and physical health care for both patients and caregiver.
