청년기 정신장애인의 지역사회 정신건강 프로그램 참여 경험에 관한 사례연구 -청‧정당당하게 프로그램 참여자를 중심으로-

A Case Study on Mentally Disabled Young People’s Participatory Experience of Community Mental Health Program -Centered around participants of「Cheong․Jeong Dangdang」Program-

본 연구의 목적은 청년기 정신장애인이 지역사회 정신건강 프로그램에 참여한 경험과 의미를 알아보는 데 있다. 본 연구는 청년기 정신장애인의 당사자 관점을 반영하여 프로그램 참여 과정에서 경험과 의미를 구체적으로 탐색하기 위하여 사례연구를 실시하였다. 참여 대상자는 7명으로 개별 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 청년기 정신장애인의 청년 프로그램 참여 경험의 분석 결과 의미 있는 진술을 토대로 ① 취업을 갈구하지만 병으로 번번히 넘어짐, ② 회복과 크고 작은 성장, ③ 일반 청년과 다르지 않은 나라는 3개의 상위주제와 7개의 하위주제, 27개의 구성요소가 도출되었다. 위의 연구 결과 지역사회 정신건강 프로그램에 참여한 청년기 정신장애인이 자신의 미래를 계획하고 사회에 나아갈 수 있도록 지원해야 함을 알 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 청년기 정신장애인을 대상으로 한 지역사회 프로그램 개발 및 보급, 평생교육 기회 확대, 지역사회 청년으로 살아갈 수 있는 사례관리의 필요성을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience and meaning of mentally disabled young people's participation in the community mental health program. For the purpose, the study carried out a case research in which those people's views were reflected. Participants of the research were 7 young persons with mental disorder. This study made a deep interview with them on a one-on-one basis, and collected their statements. Among the statements, the study analyzed responses that it considered meaningful. As a result, 3 themes, 7 sub-themes and 27 factors were drawn out in regard to mentally disabled young people's experience of the community mental health program. The three themes were ① yearning for a job, but frequently falling, ② recovery and major or minor growth ③ I who am not different from ordinary young people. In conclusion, the findings of this study implied that young people with mental disorder should be given supports for future planning and advance into society. Based on this, the study made several suggestions such as development and distribution of more community programs for the young mentally disabled, provision of more opportunities for their lifelong education, case management, and connection with resources that facilitate them to live as a young member of community.
