Development and Validation Study of a STEAM Children’s Future Competency Measurement

본 연구는 STEAM 아동 미래역량 진단도구를 개발하고 타당화하여 아동의 미래역량 진단에 활용할 수 있도록 하는 데 목적이 있다. 도구 개발을 위해 체계적 문헌고찰 방법을 활용해 STEAM 관련 문헌을 수집 및 분석하였으며, 연구진 및 외부 전문가의 검토를 거쳐 7개 역량 50개 문항을 구성하였다. 7∼9세 아동을 대상으로 두 차례에 걸쳐 자료를 수집하였으며, 표본 1은 413명, 표본 2는 435명의 응답이 수집되었다. 요인분석(탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석) 및 신뢰도 분석과 Rasch 모형을 적용하여 신뢰도, 타당도와 적합도를 검토하였다. 분석 결과, 최종적으로 7개 문항이 제거되어 7요인 43문항의 진단도구가 타당화되었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 학술적, 실무적 시사점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study aims to develop and validate a STEAM children’s future competency measurement. A systematic literature review was conducted to collect and analyze STEAM-related literature, and seven factors comprising 50 items were constructed after review by external subject matter experts. We collected survey data twice from children aged 7–9 years old, with 413 responses in sample 1 and 425 responses in sample 2. Factor analysis (i.e., exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses), reliability test, and Rasch model analysis were performed. Eventually, seven factors comprising 43 items were validated. Based on the findings, we discussed the academic and practical implications, as well as suggestions for future research.
