포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 활용한 작업치료 방문재활 서비스 제공에 관한 질적 연구

A Qualitative Study on the Provision of Home-Based Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Services Using Focus Group Interviews (FGI)

초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 작업치료 방문재활 서비스를 제공한 경험이 있는 작업치료사를 대상으로 서비스 제공 과정에서의 실제 경험, 환경적 제약, 대상자 및 가족의 반응 등을 심층적으로 분석하여, 대상자 중심의 서비스 개선과 작업치료 방문재활 시스템 강화를 위한 실질적 근거를 제공하는 것이다. 연구방법: 작업치료 방문재활 서비스 제공에 대한 기초 자료를 마련하고자 선정기준에 부합하는 작업치료사 4명을 전문가로 섭외하여 2024년 7월, 8월 두 차례 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구는 총 6단계로 전문가 선정, 사전 준비, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰, 자료 전사, 자료 분석, 결과 도출 순으로 진행하였다. 연구결과: 인터뷰 녹취와 전사 자료를 바탕으로 작업치료 제공 경험과 효과, 서비스의 장단점, 대상자와의 관계 구축, 개선점 및 필요한 지원 등 총 4개의 주요 주제에 대한 결과가 도출되었다. 결론: 작업치료 방문재활 서비스에서 대상자 중심 접근과 실제 환경에서의 훈련은 긍정적인 효과를 나타낸다. 그러나 치료 도구 부족과 스케줄 조정의 어려움 등의 단점을 해결하기 위해서는 치료 횟수 증가, 정식 수가 인정, 그리고 정책적 지원 등이 필요하다.

Objective : This study aims to analyze the experiences, environmental constraints, and responses of clients and families in providing home-based occupational therapy services, to offer practical evidence for improving client-centered care and strengthening the rehabilitation system. Methods: Four occupational therapists were recruited for focus group interviews in July and August 2024 to provide foundational data on home-based occupational therapy services. The study followed six stages: expert selection, preparation, interviews, transcription, analysis, and result derivation. Results: Based on the interview recordings and transcriptions, results were derived for four main topics: experiences and effects of providing occupational therapy, advantages and disadvantages of the service, relationship building with clients, and areas for improvement and necessary support. Conclusion: In home-based occupational therapy rehabilitation services, a client-centered approach and training in real-life environments yield positive effects. However, to address drawbacks such as the lack of therapeutic tools and difficulties in scheduling, increasing treatment sessions, formal recognition of fees, and policy support are necessary.
