예비특수교사의 자질 함양을 위한 [특수교사로 성장하기] 교과목 적용에 대한 대학생의 경험 연구

Study on experiences with course implementation for pre-special education teachers focusing on developing their personal qualities

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 대학교 1학년 학생들에게 [특수교사로 성장하기] 교과목을 적용하여 예비특수교사의 자질 함양에 대한 경험을 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구방법은 대학생의 경험의 유의미함을 질적으로 분석하는 방법이었다. 참여대상은 I 대학교 2022, 2023, 2024년의 1학년 총 75명이었고, 연구자료는 성찰일지 778개, 교과목 피드백설문지 58개, 6명과 대면 면담자료를 대상으로 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 핵심내용 유목화를 통해 대주제 5개, 중간주제 11개, 핵심내용 25개로 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과는 ‘특수교사로서의 정체성’, ‘특수교사에게 요구되는 자질’, ‘소통과 협력’, ‘전문지식 학습과 배움’, ‘미리 하는 교육현장 경험과 탄탄해지는 나의 미래’의 5개 주제에서 예비특수교사의 자질이 함양되는 경험을 밝혔다. 논의 및 결론: 논의는 크게 두 가지 논의점으로 제시되었다. 첫째, 문제해결학습과 예비특수교사의 자질 함양에 관한 것과 둘째, ‘미래의 교직 생애주기별 성장특강을 통해 좋은 특수교사로 성장하기를 기대할 수 있는가?’였다. 결론적으로 [특수교사로 성장하기] 교과목을 수강한 예비특수교사는 미래특수교사의 역량에 부합하는 자질이 함양되고 있으며, 좋은 특수교사로 성장하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Purpose: The pupose of this study was to explore the experiences of pre- special education teachers in fostering essential teachers’ qualification by implementing the course ‘Being a Special Education Teacher’ to first-year university students. Method: The research employed a qualitative analysis of the meaningful experiences of participants. The participants were 75 first-year students from ○○ University in the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. Data sources included 778 reflective journals, 58 course feedback surveys, and face-to-face interview data from six students. Through content analysis and thematic categorization, five major themes, 11 sub-themes, and 25 key contents were derived. Results: The results revealed that the course supported the development of pre- special education teachers' qualities across five themes: Identity as a Special Education Teacher, Qualities Required for Special Education Teacher, Communication and Collaboration, Professional Knowledge and Learning, and Experiential Learning for a Strong Future as a Teacher. Conclusion: The discussion focused on two major points. First, the role of problem-solving learning in fostering pre-special education teachers' essential teachers’ qualification, and second, whether the special guest lectures as a current special education teacher on the life cycle of teaching could enhance their potential as being a good special education teachers. In conclusion it was evident that students who took the course ‘Being a Special Education Teacher’ developed teachers’ qualification aligned with the competencies required of future special education teachers and showed promising growth towards becoming a good special education teacher.
