대학 성인학습자의 학업지속성에 영향을 미치는 교수지지, 전공만족, 자기효능감, 학습 몰입의 구조적 관계

The Structural Relationship Between Professor’s Support, Major Satisfaction, Self-Efficacy, and Learning Engagement on Academic Persistence of Adult Learners in Higher Education

연구목적: 이 연구에서는 대학 성인학습자의 교수지지, 전공만족, 자기효능감, 학습 몰입 및 학업지속 간의 구조적인 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 대학에 재학 중인 성인학습자 293명을 대상으로 교수지지 척도, 전공만족 척도, 자기효능감 척도, 학습 몰입 척도, 학업지속 척도로 구성된 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 SPSS 29, AMOS 29을 사용하여 기술통계 분석, 상관관계 분석, 정규성 분석, 확인적 요인분석, 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 변인들간의 영향력 분석 결과 교수지지는 전공만족, 자기효능감, 학습 몰입에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 주었으나 학업지속에는 영향을 주지 않았다. 전공만족은 자기효능감, 학습 몰입, 학업지속에 자기효능감은 학업지속에 학습 몰입은 학업지속에 각각 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 교수지지와 학업지속 간의 관계를 전공만족, 자기효능감, 학습 몰입이 삼중매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학업지속을 지원하기 위한 위한 교육 및 상담의 시사점을 논하였으며, 이 연구의 제한점과 향후 연구에 방향에 대해서도 제언하였다.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the structural relationships among professor’s support, major satisfaction, self-efficacy, engagement, and learning persistence of university adult learners. Method: A self-report survey consisting of scales for professor’s support, major satisfaction, self-efficacy, engagement, and learning persistence was administered to 293 adult learners enrolled in a university. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29 and AMOS 29 to perform descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. Results: First, as a result of the direct effect analysis, professor support had a positive and significant effect on major satisfaction, self-efficacy, and engagement, but did not affect learning persistence. Major satisfaction had a positive effect on self-efficacy, engagement, and learning persistence. Self-efficacy had a positive effect on learning persistence, and engagement had a positive effect on learning persistence. Second, it was found that major satisfaction, self-efficacy and engagement had a triple mediating effect on the relationship between professor support and learning persistence. Conclusions: Based on these results, implications for educational and counseling practices to support learning persistence are discussed, along with the limitations of the study and suggestions for future research.
