전문대학생의 삶과 앎, 그 체험적 구성: 학교생활을 중심으로

The life and knowledge of the college student, the experiential construction: Based on college lives

전문대학생에 대한 이해. 이 연구의 목적이다. 그간 이루어졌던 다수의 취업관련 전문대학 연구와 달리, 나는 생생한 학생들 삶의 이야기를 듣고 싶었다. 전문대학에서 학생들은 무엇을 배우고 어떻게 살아가는지 학교생활을 중심으로 이들의 체험적 구성에 대해 알고 싶었다. 외부적 시각에 의해 재단된 전문대학생의 모습이 아닌, 내부적 관점에 의해 드러난 전문대학생의 삶과 앎이 궁금했다. 그래서 나는 학교생활을 중심으로 살펴보기로 했다. 우선, 학교생활을 ‘수업’과 ‘수업 외’의 두 축으로 나누었다. 그리고 전문대학의 공간 배치와 시간표 배정, 지도교수 확정에 따른 학생들의 학교생활 모습을 기술하였다. ‘수업’에서는 강의, 학점을 근간으로 이루어지는 교수자-학생, 학생-학생 간 상호작용이 드러났다. 전문대학 수업의 독특한 역동이 나타났다. ‘수업 외’에서도 교우관계를 비롯한 학교에서의 다양한 상호작용 모습이 나타났다. 학교생활에서의 체험적 맥락을 중심으로, 나는 전문대학생이 구성해가는 삶과 앎의 체험적 의미에 대해 생각해 보았다. 그리고 이것을 신체, 시간, 공간, 관계의 틀로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 전문대학생의 신체는 ‘나선형적 탈피 과정’을 겪으면서 성장해갔다. 그리고 시간은 ‘압축과 표층 사이’에서 다양한 변이와 탈주를 통해 중층적, 관계적 측면을 공유했다. ‘모호한 경계 속 인간화된 배치’라는 공간적 특성 속에서 전문대학생의 ‘극단으로 집중된’ 관계의 독특함도 볼 수 있었다. 발견에 따른 이해, 이해에 따른 숙고, 숙고에 따른 행위가 이어졌으면 좋겠다. Understanding college students is the purpose of this study. I tried to listen to the lived stories of college students, unlike previous studies related to many job searching papers that had been done in the past. I wondered what they had lived and learned in their college lives. I wanted to know the real lives of college students―not from an external perspective but from an internal perspective. Therefore, I planned to look into the real lives of college students, which I classified into ‘within the class’ and ‘beyond the class’. I described the situations of college students related to fixed space placement, curriculum timetable, and their main professor at school. Between within the class and beyond the class, I discovered that the various interactions among students-students and professor-students. Based on the experiential context of college lives, I thought about the experiential meaning that students had made up. I looked into the situation using the frame of lived body, lived time, lived space, lived relationship. As a result, they had revealed and developed through the ‘spiral process of peeling the old body’, between compression and surface’, ‘humanized layout in ambiguous boundary’, and ‘concentrated relationship in the extreme'.
