노인의 연하장애 연구에 대한 메타분석: 2012년 ~ 2024년 발행된 국내 학술지 논문을 대상으로

The Meta-Analysis of Dysphagia in the Elderly: A Review of Studies Published in Korean Journals from 2012 to 2024

목적 : 국내 노인을 대상으로 한 연하장애 관련 연구의 목적과 연구방법, 연구분야 분포를 메타분석하여 향후 연구 방향성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : Kitchenham(2004)의 연구방법론을 기반으로 하는 Jung(2024)의 연구와 Lee(2023)와 Creswell & Creswell(2017)의 연구를 참고한 메타분석이다. 연구결과 : 노인의 연하장애 연구는 초기와 비교하여 발전적 차원의 연구를 추진하고 있으며, 양적연구방법이 높은 비율을 차지한다. 노인의 연하장애를 다루는 분야는 초기에는 간호학이었으나, 현재는 작업치료 분야로 변화되었다. 결론 : 향후 기초자료를 기반으로 하여 사례연구를 진행해야 한다. 양적연구방법론에 치중한 현상을 개선하기 위해 학계의 노력이 필요하다. 또한 노인의 연하장애 연구가 융합적 관점의 논의까지 다다르기 위해서는 다양한 학문적 관점에서 새로운 시각을 도입하는 간학문적 접근을 강화할 필요가 있다.

Objective : The purpose of the study is to explore future research directions by meta-analyzing the research objectives, research methods, and distribution of research fields established in domestic studies related to swallowing disorders in the elderly. Methods : This is a meta-analysis that references the research of Jung (2024) based on the research methodology of Kitchenham (2004) and the research of Lee (2023) and Creswell and Creswell (2017). Results : Compared to the early days, research on swallowing disorders in the elderly is pursuing research at a developmental level, and quantitative research methods account for a high proportion. The field that deals with swallowing disorders in the elderly was initially nursing, but has now shifted toward rehabilitation and occupational therapy. Conclusion : Future research should advance case studies grounded in foundational data, addressing the current emphasis on quantitative research methodologies. Efforts within the academic community are essential to balance this trend and broaden research perspectives. Additionally, for studies on dysphagia in older adults to achieve a more integrative discourse, it is crucial to adopt an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates new perspectives from various academic fields. This approach will enhance the field’s capacity to address the complexity of dysphagia through a convergent and multidimensional lens.
