안전 운전을 위한 보조 도구 및 차량개조에 관한 체계적 문헌 고찰

A Systematic Review of Assistive Devices and Vehicle Modifications for Safe Driving

목적 : 본 연구는 운전 보조도구 및 차량 개조가 노인과 장애인의 운전 수행 능력, 안전성, 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 고찰하여, 향후 운전 재활과 관련된 연구 및 실무에서 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 2005년부터 2024년 6월까지 발표된 운전 보조도구와 차량 개조 관련 연구를 대상으로 체계적 문헌고찰을 수행하였다. 총 6편의 논문이 최종 분석에 포함되었으며, 각 연구의 참여자 특성, 중재 방식, 결과 지표, 주요 성과를 비교⋅분석하였다. 연구결과 : 분석된 연구들은 운전 보조도구와 차량 개조가 운전 성능 향상, 사고 위험 감소, 삶의 질 증대에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 보고하였다. 특히, 시각 장애, 청각 장애, 하지 장애와 같은 특정 질환을 가진 운전자들에게 맞춤형 보조도구가 유의미한 효과를 보였다. 결론 : 운전 보조도구와 차량 개조는 노인과 장애인의 독립적인 이동성을 지원하고 안전한 운전을 촉진하는 중요한 도구임을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 작업치료사와 관련 분야 연구자들에게 운전 재활의 근거 기반 자료를 제공하며, 보조도구 개발 및 임상 적용이 필요하다.

Objective : This study aimed to systematically review the effects of driving assistive devices and vehicle modifications on driving performance, safety, and quality of life among elderly and disabled individuals, providing foundational data for future research and practice in driving rehabilitation. Methods : A systematic review was conducted on studies related to driving assistive devices and vehicle modifications published between 2005 and 2023. A total of six studies were included in the final analysis, and participant characteristics, interventions, outcome measures, and key findings were compared and analyzed. Results : The reviewed studies demonstrated that driving assistive devices and vehicle modifications had positive effects on driving performance, reduced accident risks, and improved quality of life. Customized assistive devices showed significant benefits for drivers with specific conditions such as visual, auditory, and lower-limb disabilities. Conclusion : Driving assistive devices and vehicle modifications are essential tools for supporting independent mobility and promoting safe driving among elderly and disabled individuals. This study provides evidence-based data for occupational therapists and researchers, emphasizing the necessity for further development and clinical application of assistive devices.
