The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of physical contact between infants and childcare teachers during daily routines in daycare centers for two-year-old children after the COVID-19 pandemic. The research subjects include childcare teachers and two-year-old infants from childcare centers located in five districts of U Metropolitan City. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 29.0, employing exploratory factor analysis, independent samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, the physical contact between teachers and infants, playfulness, and infant problem behaviors showed partially significant differences based on the teachers' general characteristics. Second, it was found that there are partially significant correlations among the sub-variables of the physical contact between teachers and infants, playfulness, and infant problem behaviors. Third, it was found that teacher variables, as well as the subvariables of physical contact between teachers and infants,a playfulness had a relative influence on infant problem behaviors. Furthermore, the importance of physical contact between childcare teachers and infants during daily routines has been confirmed, suggesting the need for ongoing research on the impact of physical contact in these settings.
